Symphony For the Madman - unsigned band late 1960s

This is one of five tracks from a 10 inch acetate that I have come across, in the vein of Mellow Candle and Comus, plenty of acoustic guitar, violin and flute.

If this rings a bell with anybody, jogs your memory, you think you know who it might be, then drop me a telegram to the address at the top of the page or leave a message.

ANAN - I Wonder where My Sister's Gone - 1968

An odd ditty here by this duo, this their second (and better) release on PYE. A projected LP was shelved on account of little interest in either 45.

John Carter and Russ Alquist - 1968

Two songs that typify the late sixties - and recorded in that great year, 1968. Both song-writers were prolific in their own right but teamed up for this one single of psychedelic frenzy. On the Silver Spark label.

Dedicated to an old friend, Cecil.

The OPEN MIND - 4 track acetate

A Philips 10 inch metal acetate containing four tracks from the 1969 album. I have no idea what the intention of this acetate was (an EP release?) other than it is a demo dated 14th November 1969. Numbering on the acetate suggests that an EP release was considered.

All tracks appear to play at a higher pitch than vinyl releases.

All So Long Ago - Sweet Feeling

I have now realised that my copy has the labels on the wrong side, hence my posting 'Charles Brown' as 'All so Long ago' (I have now corrected the entries).
