Pre Titus-Groan, JON 1967 'Is it Love?'
From Ireland, this little known group produced only 2 singles, the second being the more interesting. Later to become the equally little known 'Titus Groan' who were produced on Dawn.

Hello Sir!
ReplyDeleteCame across this obscure classic via a search engine and found your very fine blog. I have a copy of this single is a mine is a US promo copy on 'epic' records. A double AA side with their previous single "So Much For Mary" on the flip.
Thanks for putting this online
best wishes from Scotland
Frank
Hello Frank,
ReplyDeleteI have only just read your message and so apologise for later reply. Your US copy combines both their first and last A sides. Most unusual,
Best regards
Sir Henry
Hi Again Sir henry, thanks for the Response! Yes it's a little odd isn't it? I was after the columbia version which you have here on your excellent blog, but came across this odd US promo by accident; -came from a former US radio Disc Jockey who had retired and was selling his duplicates.
ReplyDeleteKind Regards
Frank (A.K.A RobGordon)
P.S Thanks for taking the time to put this blog together, -its got some real rare gems here!
