The Mellow Candle singles on SNB and Deram
This band released 2 singles, their first being on Simon Napier's SNB label in 1968, the other a spin off from their only LP on Deram in 1972 (to follow).
Sir Henry, No comments yet? OK, let me say THANKS! for posting this and the many other great cuts I'm enjoying after "surfing the net" and discovering your blog. I've helped in numerous reissue projects over the years and know how much work goes into surfacing this kind of stuff and, in some cases, actually seeing it properly released (no easy feat especially when details about band members, managers, etc. are often scant to nil.) I of course appreciate the work done by labels like Tenth Planet, Sunbeam, Sundazed, Gear Fab, World In Sound, RD, Rev-Ola and many others in doing CD and vinyl releases, but the reality is that not all "discoveries" will ever see release in that way. This makes your sort of archeological/archival work all the more valuable. Again, TA!
